Kadan Alexander Mitchell was born in Orem, Utah on November 16, 1995. He was the son of Charles Nathaniel Mitchell II and Brandi Elaine Braze. He suffered a life of difficulty due to a seizure disorder and passed away in Kamas, Utah August 11, 2010. He was a cheerful young man who was always ready to forgive anyone who was unkind and was inquisitive about everything. He loved trains, airplanes and most of all BYU sports, especially football. He was counting the days, hours and sometimes minutes until the first game and insisted upon being drive by Lavell Edwards stadium whenever possible. Kadan is survived by his parents, his stepfather John Sloots, stepmother, Brigette Mitchell as well as his four brothers (Tyler, Patrick, Joshua and Braden). Other survivors include his grandparents Neil and Ruth Mitchell of Provo, Bill and Keri Cheney of Provo, great grandparents Charles and Patrice Mitchell of Seminary, Mississippi, Bud Mason of Brigham City, Jerry and Evva Stubbs of Provo, Charles and Joanne Walrath of Ivins, Utah as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles who will miss him terribly. There will be a viewing Monday, August 16 at the Grandview 13th Ward (1260 West 1150 North Provo, Utah) at 11:00 AM followed by the funeral at 1:00 PM with interment at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Kadan was unable to participate in the athletics he loved in life but if there are sports on the other side, then the Savior just signed up an all-star that is ready to play. Friends and family are invited to offer their condolences at www.serenicare.com. For those wishing to help the parents with the final expenses in lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any Zions Bank branch in Kadan's name.
