Kalolaine Vaka Mapa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
She is reuinted with her eternal husband and two daughters. She will be greatly missed.
Kalolaine was born October 11, 1923 to Sateki Vaka and Mele'ana Koloale'o in Haveluloto Tonga.
She attended Kolisi Makeke and Kolisi Kuini Salote schools in Tonga.
She was the School Dux at Kolisi Makeke
Her hobbies include Genealogy, Haka puteni, scripture reading, tatting and music.
She was employed as a Oral genealogy Interviewer.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tevita Uatahausi Mapa, Daughters, 'Atelaite Taupeavai Hemaloto, and Siulolovao Tapuar Tephi Tu'itavuki, grandchild Donny Vaka Tu'itavuki.
Kaloline is survived by three children, Mele Tupouta'ane Ika (Sione), Sela Tupouvainiaku Botchway (Ben), Viliami Ma'afutu'itonga Mapa (Lani).
Twentysix grandchilren, Hemi, Laina, Haloti, Mele, Uata, Hiliate, Metui, Marie, the late(Donny), Lita, Krystal, Filini, Letizia, Jana, Kalolaine, Tonga, LaVell, Katie, Laveitiana, Theresa, Naomi, Lu'isa, Panuve, 'Atelaite, Milika, Marie.
Ten great-grandchildren, Nonga, Uata, Lilly, Sesi, 'Otto, Crazee, Malu, Moti, Athena, Achilles
A funeral service in her honor will be held Wednesday September 26, 2012 at the Riverside 2nd LDS chapel located at 660 North Redwood Road.
The family viewing will be from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. Services begin at 11:00 noon following the interment at SLC cemetary, located at 200 "N" Street in SLC.
