Katherine Louise Johnson

Katherine Louise Dale Johnson passed away April 22, 2009 at her home in Orem, Utah. Louise was born May 16, 1931 in West Virginia. She was the 7th of 16 children, the first girl born to Gilmer and Lillian Dale. She married Anthony F. Johnson on November 24, 1956 in Detroit Michigan. Together they made their way west, finally settling in California to raise their family. In 1981 Tony retired and he and Louise moved to Orem, Utah. Tony passed away on January 28, 1986. Louise enjoyed collecting figurines. She prided herself on being a good housekeeper, and on her beautiful handwriting. She loved cats, even feeding the neighborhood strays. She attended Utah Valley Calvary Chapel in Orem, where she made many great friends. Louise is survived by her sons, Raymond and Albert (Rikki), daughter Carol (Roger) and grandchildren Adam, Eric and Isaac Johnson; Evan Simmons; Aaron and Brandon Hammitt. A memorial for Louise will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Utah Valley Calvary Chapel 1200 N. 1228 W. Orem at 10:00am. The family would like to thank all of Louise's friends who have helped her over the years.
