Kathleen (Kathy Doherty) Anderson - Born June 17th 1937 in Salt Lake City Utah to Daniel Patrick Doherty & Marion May Chugg. Deceased January 2, 2012. Married Eugene Alvin Anderson 1953 in Salt Lake City later divorced. Proceeded in death by her parents & brothers.
Survived by Two Children: Steven Eugene Anderson (Marva) and Elaine Barker (Rick - Deceased). Grandmother to: Steven Trent (Kristina), Christopher Lee (Brittany) and Daniel Cody Anderson - Rachell Oaks (Steve) and Sarah Barker. Great Grandmother to: Carson, Shelby, Ella and Isabelle Anderson and Roxy Oaks.
Kathy was American by Birth - Irish by Heritage! Converted to the LDS faith in 1962 & baptized by Gerald Lars Christiansen who she later married in the Salt Lake Temple - later divorced. Kathy had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed playing the piano as she sang Hymns.
Worked at Salt Lake Hardware, The Deseret Company, & retired from the University of Utah's Public Safety Department, after serving years of faithful service to protect and serve the Public.
The family wishes to thank Kathy's best friends, Karma Wright, Bonnie Lasche, & Edwina Reherman, along with the Westside Nursing Home for their love & care. Kathy will be missed by her Family and all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Granite Cemetery - 2940 East 9800 South, Sandy, Utah.
