Washington, UT - Kathleen May Oliver, age 63, passed away unexpectedly at her home on October 15, 2010. She was born February 20, 1947, in Salt Lake City, UT, to William E. and Pearletta Cain May. She was the youngest of three children and was raised in Salt Lake City.
Kathie lived in Texas for over twenty years before returning to Utah. She spent the last six years of her life living in southern Utah.
Kathie loved being with her grandchildren and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Her fondest memories are of spending time at the cabin with her family. She loved traveling with her Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Keith. Kathie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was recently able to attend the temple. She served as ward librarian.
Kathie is survived by the following: children, Michael (Kim) Thompson of St. George, UT, Shelley (David) Walker of Spanish Fort, AL, Diane (Chris) Magario, and Roger Oliver, Jr., both of Sandy, UT; grandchildren, Keaton, Mikenzie, Gage, Noah, and Madison Thompson, and Shaelah, Peyton, and Cooper Walker; and brothers, Robert and Richard May. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Valley LDS Stake Center, 1762 S. River Rd. St. George, UT. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the stake center. Interment will follow at the Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, UT.
