Kaye Brown 1947 ~ 2011 Kaye Brown, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on September 18, 2011 after a long valiant battle with cancer. Kaye was born October 12, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wesley Benair Spainhower and Rhea Lavern Anderson Spainhower. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Michael A. Brown; children, Jerone D. Richards (Debbie) Sandy, Utah; April Gayle Whymark (Jim), Sandy, Utah; Pamela Elaine Royal (Clayton) Plano, Texas; and Michele Lee Reeves (Travis), Lehi, Utah; 13 grandchildren, Jarrett, Riley, Wesley, Olivia, Alexandria, Savannah, Madi Kaye, Preston, Emily, Oliver, Avery, Layla and Miles; and siblings, Wesley Brent Spainhower (Nancy), Rhea Spainhower, Gayle Baldwin, and Ann Spainhower (Richard Tafoya). Kaye was an accomplished crafter loving to both crochet and sew, a great homemaker, and a wonderful friend. She devoted her life to caring for those she loved and often put others needs above her own. Kaye treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved spending time with her husband Mike, whom so dotingly cared for her during her illness: they enjoyed taking rides in the car, reading books, watching movies, traveling to see family, taking walks outside and in general being together. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 22, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9331 S 300 E. A viewing will also be held on Wednesday, September 21, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9331 S 300 E. Interment, Camp Williams Veterans Cemetery, 17111 S Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale.
