Keith Everard Cowdell

St. George, UT - Keith Everard Cowdell, 84, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by his family at his beautiful home in St. George, UT, on May 22, 2012, after complications from a stroke. He was born in Bingham Canyon, Utah September 1, 1927, to Everard J. and Estella Draper Cowdell. In June of 1950 he married the "Best Catch of His Life" Kittie Laurece Litster in Memory Grove, SLC, UT. Later they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised five wonderful Children in Salt Lake and Springdale Utah. A son, Kraig J. Cowdell, (deceased 1970), Judy L (Frank) Fisher, Kim L (Julie) Cowdell, Loraine K Cowdell, all of St George, Mark P (Holly) Cowdell, Alpine, UT He is survived by: his Angelic, Loving, wife of 62 years; 4 children; 15 grandchildren; and 25 ½ great-grandchildren; a sister Sherry Bentley; and brothers Marion (Freddie) Cowdell and Frank (Pat) Cowdell. He was preceded in death by; his son Kraig; parents; and four sisters, Barbara Walters, Polly Porter, Faye Scott, and Joan Gappmayer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Pineview Ward Chapel located at 595 N. 2450 E., St. George, UT. A Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. A graveside celebration is planned for Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Memorial Gardens 10600 S. 1700 E., Sandy, UT.
