Kenneth Ralph Conover passed away at the age of 77, in his home April 20, 2023 of natural causes.
He was born September 18, 1945 to Charles Edmund Conover and Winnie Nelda Gardner in Montebello, California. He married Inez Stolworthy on May 24, 1975. They had four children: April, Heather, Spencer, and Krystal.
When he was young, he supported his family with the money he received from his paper route. Later at the of age of 17, he worked at Geneva Steel and contributed needed funds to his family. He worked at Geneva Steel for 35 years until it closed in 2001.
He earned several degrees in Science, Electronic Technology, and as a Pharmacy Technician at Utah Valley Community College, what is now Utah Valley University. He loved his Country and served in the United States Army.
As a young man he served valiantly in the California, Arizona mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved to sing. He sang with the ward choir and recruited his children; singing throughout his life. He served faithfully as a ward clerk for many years.
He loved serving in the Temple and those around him. He was the first to volunteer to set up chairs and take them down before and after church meetings. He even found a way to carry folding chairs on his lap, while sitting in his wheelchair. He loved the Lord and faithfully kept the Commandments.
He had a tremendous sense of humor that would lift and bless all those around him. He kept a positive attitude for the entire duration of the sixteen years that he was bed bound. He loved to serve others and was so blessed by others who served him. Ken and his family would like to extend gratitude to the many who served him along his journey of life. Ken finished his mortal work with honor and left a legacy of faith and valiancy for his posterity.
