Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Kenneth Ray Garrett, 60, passed away on March 12, 2008, peacefully, at home in West Valley City surrounded by the family who loves him. He was born January 23, 1948 in Dothan, Alabama to Charlie Samson and Marian R'Ola Chase Garrett. He married his sweetheart Shirley Ann Litchfield on December 6, 1990 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
After graduating from East High School in 1966, he joined the United States Air Force, retiring 22 years later as a senior master sergeant. His second career was as a jet aircraft mechanic at Hill Air Force Base. Most important to Ken is his family and he loved spending time camping and fishing. One of the best times of his life was his fishing trip to Alaska with his brother and nephews.
Ken is survived by his wife and children Ken (Kristine) Wade, Jason (Rebecca) Garrett and Max Garrett. He is also survived by grandchildren Jacob, Bryce, Ashton and Amelia; two brothers, three sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Murray Chapel, 4886 South Poplar (one-half block west of State Street) in Murray, Utah.
