Kevin Lee Ward, 25, passed away September 10, 2009. He was born January 4, 1984 in Provo, Utah to Polly Sorensen. He lived his life in Sandy, Utah. At the age of 2 ½ years he was adopted by Elery Melvin Ward, where he gained a whole new family, including an older brother, Rory and a new baby sister, Amber. He attended Elementary and Middle School in Sandy, graduating from Jordan High School in 2002. While at Jordan High he played football, making the Varsity Football team his Senior Year. He played soccer, baseball and football on the Sandy City Rec Program. He was a member of the LDS church and was involved in Boy Scouts. He began working in the produce department at Reams in Sandy, then later working for Harmons as their youngest Produce Manager and Whole Foods, as Produce Team Leader, a job he loved. Kevin loved sports, football, exercise, his cars, music, fishing. Kevin was energetic, happy, handsome, hard-working. He was loved by his family, his friends and his mother's pets. He touched the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his Mother, Polly Ward, his sister. Amber Ward, his older brother, Rory Ward, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and pets. He is preceded in death by his father, Elery Melvin Ward. His funeral will be held at the LDS Chapel on 89 East 110th South, Sandy, Utah on Saturday, September 19, at 3:00 pm. Friends will be received from 1:00-2:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the Zions Bank at 90th South and 700 East in Sandy, Utah in Kevin's name.
