Kristin Elder Ellis

Kristin Elder Ellis,
Our beloved Kristin, "Miss Field and Stream", left her earthly existence in the arms of the love of her life, her soul mate, Kevin Jon Ellis. She died Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Kristin and Kevin were married on July 18, 1998 in the beautiful Teton National Forest. They would have celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary the day after her death. They planned on going fishing. Her life was cut short at 41 by a cruel metastatic cancer. She was cared for by her patient, loving husband, whom she adored and her loving mother who adored her. She came into the world on August 13, 1965 to John Thorup and Nancy Foy Elder and was raised in Sandy, Utah. She attended Jordan High School. Kristin loved to "Cowgirl up" and to camp and fish with Kevin. They moved into Kris's dream home in Tooele just one year ago. Kris was an avid rock hound and loved archery. She was "Dear Abbey" to her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Kevin; her parents, John and Nancy; her brother Michael (Dawna), Sisters; Laurel Roper, Rochelle Elder and Brooke Fraizer. A receiving friends will be held Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Mount Jordan LDS Fourth Ward Building (235 E. 9800 S. Sandy, Utah). The family will meet with friends in Tooele, Utah, at the Tooele LDS Stake Center from 11:30 a.m to 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2007 in Tooele, Utah at the Tooele LDS Stake Center (253 South 2nd East) at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Charlie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
