On June 10, 2007, LaNelda Rae Brown Colette was once again united with her eternal companion. She was born August 23, 1931 to Vernon and Rhoda Williams Brown in Koosharem, Utah. She married the love of her life, Frank Edward Colette, October 10, 1949 in Sunnyside, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They were a spectacular couple. Frank died May 29, 1993. LaNelda was a devoted member of the LDS Church, working in the Manti Temple. She was famous for her cooking and was an expert seamstress. She was never happier than when she was entertaining and cooking. LaNelda was a superb wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. She and her husband made their home in Dragerton and Columbia, Utah; Carlsbad, NM.; Oakland, MD; St. Clairsville, OH; Terre Haute, IN; Hazard, KY; Evansville, IN; and finally settled for good in Castle Dale, Utah. She is survived by her children: Diana (Doug) Litster of Salt Lake City; Debbie (Ritchie) Hibbert of La Grande, OR; Perry (Jackie) Colette of Pleasant Grove; and Tab (Cynthia) Colette of Ivins. She is also survived by her sisters: Ella Dean Hunter of East Carbon; Janice (Denny) Sereano of Knoxville, TN; Mary (Tom) Boatwright of Washington, UT; her brothers: DeLoss (Barbara) Brown of Carlsbad, NM; and Lonnie (Diane) Brown of Layton; and her sisters-in-law Marcy Boss of Delta, CO; and Phyllis Colette of Paonia, CO. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Castle Dale Stake Center. A viewing will be held prior to the services at 9:00 a.m. Internment will be at the Castle Dale Cemetery. Arrangements for floral deliveries can be made through Price Floral.
