Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & Great Great Grandmother Laura H. Smith age 94 of West Point, Utah died on February 4, 2009, at Family Tree Assisted Living. She was born on August 15, 1914, to William and Jenny Lomax. She married Charles Whiting of Salt Lake City in 1934. She married Woodrow Smith on August 16, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She attended high school in Salt Lake City, the LDS Business College and the University of Utah for two years. She lived in Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., Santa Monica, CA, Sun Valley, CA, Riverside, CA, Perris, CA, Bullhead City, AZ., and West Point, UT. She was a life long member of the LDS church and served as Relief Society President, Gospel Doctrine teacher and as a Young Women's Leader. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Woodrow "Woody" Smith; three children, Charles "Bill" Whiting (Ruth), Glendale, Ca.; Laurence "Larry" Whiting (Val), Laguna Niguel, CA.; Marilyn (Richard) Fashbaugh, Clinton, UT.; Virginia (Dwain) Andrus, Bullhead City, AZ.; Annette Bartholomew, Las Vegas, NV.; thirty grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 7th at the LDS Church located at 2855 West 800 North, West Point, Utah. A viewing will be held from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the West Point Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all of the kind employees of Vista Care Hospice and the staff at the Family Tree Assisted Living Center. They all made this experience easier.
