L. Keith Passey, a remarkable man, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. He was born to William Warren Passey and Margaret Beryl Caldwell on July 17, 1932 in Paris, Bear Lake, Idaho. Keith married Elizabeth Ann Anderson on September 11, 1950 in the Logan Temple, located in Logan, Cache County, Utah.
Keith enrolled at Utah State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1954 Lawrence joined the United States Air Force where he stayed until April 1963. He flew the B-47 for the Strategic Air Command during the time of the cold war.
During his lifetime Keith worked in tire sales for Michelin Tire Corp, Purdue Tire Company, Big O and Oliver Rubber Company.
Keith had many interests and church assignments including Bishop, High Council and Scout Master, among others. He was also an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple for 11 years. He loved to play golf and loved gardening, especially when it came to caring for his roses.
Keith left behind 5 children: Alan (Denise), Steven (Elaine), Paul (Cheryl), Michael (Engracia) and Darrell, along with his wife, Elizabeth.
Other survivors include sisters Karen Skinner, Jeanette Payne, Julia Ann Howell and a brother, Craig Passey. He had 32 grandchildren and 23 great, grandchildren.
A viewing will be held in his honor on Friday, March 25 from 6-8 pm at the LDS Country Lane Chapel, 24 South Country Lane in Fruit Heights, Utah. A second viewing will be held at the same location on Saturday, March 26 from 9:30 am to 10:45 am. Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 11 am at the Country Lane Chapel. The burial will follow at the Kaysville City Cemetery.
