Lela Beagley March 20, 1927 - March 30, 2010 Lela Beagley passed away on March 30, 2010 in Ogden, Utah. She was born on March 20,1927 in Kanab, Utah to Henry Arnold and Dula LaRee Schlappy. She married Jesse Lynn Beagley in Cardston, Alberta, Canada on June 8, 1948.They were later divorced. She graduated from Missoula County High School in 1945. She also attended the University of Montana. Mom worked as a telephone operator for Ma Bell and was a housewife for many years. She retired from A/C Drug where she worked in Customer Service. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities; including Relief Society President, Young Women Advisor and Ward Librarian. Mom was a big Montana Grizzly fan. She especially loved flower gardens. She enjoyed fishing at Lake Mary Ronan in Montana. She loved Family-day Rides in the Mountains, being around her family, 4th of July Parties at Aunt Lela's Home, Fireworks, and stamp and coin collecting. She is survived by children: Cheryl (Mike) Cost; Rick (Diane) Beagley; Chris Beagley; Cindy (Russell) Henriksen; Kathy (Scott) Williamson; and Rebecca Beagley. She is also survived by two brothers: Keith (Mavis) Schlappy and Reldon Schlappy and 13 grand-children and 8 great grand-children. Funeral Services will be held at the Layton East Ridge LDS Church at 3290 N 1050 E in Layton on Friday, April 2 with a Viewing at 11:30 am and Services at 1pm. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Special thanks to Advocate Hospice, The Chancelor Gardens Care Center, and her daughter Rebecca for the many years of taking care of Mom.
