Linda Sharp Meyer passed away April 2, 2012 after a courageous battle with Huntington's disease. She was born November 12, 1964 to James H. Sharp and Lena N. Sharp in Afton, WY and shortly after moved to Utah where she lived for the remainder of her life. Linda married Gary Meyer on January 4, 1985 in Salt Lake City, UT. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1983. She worked at American Express. After ten years she left her job to become a full time wife and mother. Linda was devoted to her family and loved them very much. She also enjoyed waterskiing at Yuba Lake, camping in the Wasatch Mountains, traveling to the Oregon Coast, and baking and cooking at home for family and friends. Linda was also dedicated to ensuring that her children were successful in school and study. Linda is survived by her husband Gary; her three children Faylynn Meyer, Shawna Meyer, and Brandon Meyer; her father; her brother Steve (Diane) Sharp, her brother Rod (Sue) Meyer, her sister Delores (Jack) Melton, her sister Betty (Ron) Schofield, her brother Rick (Cindy) Meyer, many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. All who knew Linda loved her happy smile and infectious laugh. She will be missed. Services will be held in Linda's honor at SereniCare Funeral Home located at 12278 Lone Peak Pkwy Ste. 102 in Draper, Saturday April 7 beginning at 11AM. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday April 6 at the same location from 7 until 9PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Linda's honor at HDSA.org to help other families that are coping with Huntington's disease. Special thanks to the caregivers and nurses at Midtown Manor for all the love and support Linda and her family received while she lived there.
