Lisa Lynn Gustaveson Berntson

Lisa B, as she was affectionately known by her many friends, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep at age 44 July 7, 2011 at her home in Cottonwood Heights.
Lisa was born in San Jose, California October 7, 1966 to Lloyd M. and Barbara Francis Gustaveson. The family lived in Santa Clara, California but returned to their roots in Utah in 1977 when Lisa was 11. She graduated from Jordan High School and attended BYU for one year. She worked for several years at three different vision centers as an optician. She married Bradly T. Berntson. The marriage ended in divorce.
Lisa was admired and loved by all who knew her. She was vibrant, outgoing and a joy to be with in spite of struggling for years with multiple, often painful, health issues. She was a member of the LDS Church. She loved the Lord and knew He loved her. She felt His inspiration and help as she faced and overcame difficult challenges. She loved her family and those around her and served many who needed her help and inspiration as they faced their life's struggles, many similar to her own. She will be missed.
Lisa is survived by her children Joshua and Bailey, whom she dearly loved; her parents; two sisters, Carolyn Seale (Douglas) and Joan Hintz (Terry); and brother Michael (Linda). She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hughes Canyon Ward, 6301 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City. Viewing will be held at the church Monday, July 18, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be 3:00 p.m. the same day in the Morgan south cemetery.
