Lisa Kay Gale Hoj

Lisa Kay Hoj, 36, of Holladay passed away in her home on Friday, June 16 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Lisa was born April 16, 1970 in Prescott, Arizona. She was raised in Safford Arizona where she graduated from high school in 1988. Later she attended college at Northern Arizona University then moved to Salt Lake City in 1991 where she completed her Masters degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Utah. At this point she met her future spouse, Timothy Hoj. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on July 22, 1992.
Lisa was beautiful, energetic, and compassionate. Lisa carried herself with confidence, and quick wit that endeared people to her. She had vision and direction for life that helped her achieve her goals and aspirations. Lisa had great style that carried to the way her family and home looked. She always stood her ground and defended her family, friends, and beliefs at all cost. Some of her favorite things were: great Mexican food, shopping, bicycling, Bear Lake, the gospel, gardening, decorating her home, entertaining friends and cooking.
During their fourteen years of marriage they had many devoted and loyal friends who were constantly at their side especially during Lisa's illness. Hours of child tending, house cleaning, and gentle nurturing were given to Lisa as she struggled through her advanced disease. Family, friends, and Holladay 18th Ward gave freely as they willingly cared for Tim, Lisa and their young family.
Lisa is survived by her husband Timothy and their three beautiful children; Hannah, Ethan, and Greta. Also surviving are her parents: Dwain & Sharon Gale, sisters Kimberlee Martin, Christy (Matthew) Larson, brother Kevin (Jennifer) Gale, and Tim's family: Henning & Inge Hoj, Peter (Shauna) Hoj, Susanne (Myron) Wills, Linda (Charles) Googe, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:45 am prior to services at the Holladay South Stake Center, 4917 Viewmont Street, Holladay. Services will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. also in the Holladay South Stake Center. Burial will immediately follow at the Holladay Memorial Park.
