Luisa Nau Tolutau
Our beloved Mother, Luisa Nau Tolutau, passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning, January 18, 2011 in Magna Utah, after a brave battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.
Luisa was born in Nei'afu, Vava'u, Tonga on August 26, 1949. After she married Siosifa Talikavili Toluta'u on March16, 2000, they faithfully served their mission in Hamilton, New Zealand.
She is survived by seven children: Piu (Faye), Felipe (Kristi), Alama (Amy), Akesa (Sam), Himinai (Ku'uipo), Uheina, and Laite (Samu) and sixteen grandchildren: Kapule, Isa Leka, Kyli, Kesni, Kelly, Nisha, Lia, Nai, Cooper, Tanian, Tita, Sunshine, Keti, Fatso, Ana and Savaii. She is also survived by siblings: Filipe Nau, Mosiana Alusa, Meleseini Paea, Patiola, Hosea Nau, and Ofa Nau. Luisa is preceded in death by her parents Semisi and Akesa Nau, and siblings: Finehika Finau, Patiola Nau, and Tevita Nau.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the North Tongan Stake Center located at 4440 West 3325 South, West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will be held from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and Funeral Service 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
The family would like to thank IHC Hospice services for all of their support and care given to her over the last several months.
