Marcia Rae (Harris) Harwood of Eagle Mountain, UT. passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by the love and care of her family on Jan. 3, 2008, at the age of 68. She was born Sept. 30, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA. The daughter of Cole Lane and Lucy (Workman) Harris. Falling for the love of her life (literally over a chair- twice!), she married Frederick Leroy Harwood on Sept. 15, 1960 in Salt Lake City, UT. She graduated with the class of 1958 from West High. Her greatest legacy was discovering her true self through her deep love and faith in God and gaining a personal relationship with Him. By devoting her life to God and loved ones, she set a strong example by unconditionally sharing her love and service for all. She was a dedicated school bus driver who enjoyed working with special needs children and retired from Jordan School District after 18 yrs. of service. In her athletic youth, she was an avid softball and basketball player and spent many years coaching youth athletics and playing in leagues. She found joy in spending time with her family, camping in the great outdoors, horseback riding and racing ATV's while wearing her pink shower cap to protect her hairdo. A born performer, she played the accordion and piano and wrote and performed comical skits. She loved to play games with her children and grandchildren, tell jokes and play practical jokes on family and friends. Her faith in God, imagination and humor will forever live on through her family.
She is survived by her loving husband and eternal companion, Fred Harwood, Eagle Mtn. Ut. Son: Mark (Linda) Harwood, Eagle MTN. UT. Daughters: Danielle (Scot) Roberts, Twin Falls, ID.
