Margaret Ann Johnston

Margaret Ann (Maggie) Johnston of Brigham City, Utah died Friday, January 04, 2008. She was born March 5, 1952 and grew up in Oakland, California. After graduating from San Francisco State University she joined the Nation Park Service as a Park Ranger. Her 33 year career included assignments at Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Statue of Liberty/ Ellis Island, C & O Canal National Historic Park, Point Reyes National Seashore, Death Valley National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and Capulin Volcano National Monument. Her last position was as superintendent of Golden Spike National Historic Site. She dedicated her life to protecting National Park Lands for future generations. She is survived by her husband, James McChristal and her sister, Michelle Emily Johnston.
