I am Marideane Hayes Hansen, daughter of Henry Dean Hayes and Mary McMillan Hayes. I was born in Salt Lake City in 1935 and raised in Richfield, UT. I had many great friends - we called ourselves the solar system (I was Pluto). They were all life-long friends. I married Dewayne Hansen in 1954 and went directly into the Air Force where I had a great life for 22 years. We lived in many places and still stayed in contact with our many friends.
As I leave this life, the next breath I take will be with Jesus, my friend, and my brother, Patrick who died in 2002 of ALS, and my mother and father.
I died of ovarian cancer that I have battled for 7 years and am leaving a loving family, my caring husband, Dee, of 52 years who has seen me through these years of illness, and my son Brett and his wife Janey. My daughter Merridee and her husband Kevin Caruso have been a great help to me with my cancer in researching treatments.
I also want to say goodbye to my granddaughters, Jenny and Sara; our great grandson, Daxton; my sister in law, Myrna Hayes and her boys (pat's boys); my countless friends in church and elsewhere who have been an inspiration to me and prayed for me constantly; Carole Christensen, my movie friend who never failed to cheer me up; and finally, my many pets who have always been a comfort to me - Mike, Mister Aster, Amanda, Abbey, Alex and Archie, Bonnie and Clyde, and Mabel.
Thank you to the staff of Lifepath Hospice and Family Care for their support and comfort to me and my family during this difficult time.
