Marie "Adele" Foster Geoffrion Van Liew Inslee was born June 16, 1919 in Delhi Township, Kansas to Charles T. Foster and Gertrude Mary Boltinhouse Foster. She received her Bachelor's degree from Kansas City Conservatory of Music, Kansas City in 1941. She taught music until her marriage to Gerald Joseph Geoffrion. He preceded her in death. She started teaching school in Scottsbluff Nebraska in 1955. In 1959 she moved to California and continued teaching until 1981. In 1962 she married Lawrence Herbert Van Liew and later divorced. In the late 70's she received her Master's degree. In 1978 she married Clifford Inslee, who also preceded her in death. She leaves behind 2 children, son. Gerald Joseph Geoffrion II (Margaret) from Denver, CO, and daughter, Melody Peterson (Gordon) from Kearns, UT, a sister, Elsie Marie Hilden of Vancouver, WA. Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous friends and extended relatives. Before moving to Utah in 2002, Adele was very active in White Shrine, Rebecca, Eastern Star, Emblem Club, and Barstow Women's Club. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Adele had a zest for learning and life. She loved music almost as much as she loved her family. Funeral Services will be at Kearns 21st Ward, 5720 S. 4270 W. on July 3 2009 at 11:00am with viewing at 10:00am. Interment will be in Banning, California. The family would like to thank the staff at Bennion Care and Bristol Hospice for their care.
