Marilyn passed away February 16, 2011 peacefully at home in Highland, Utah. She was the third child and only daughter of Clyde and Luella Stewart Andrew. She was born February 1, 1931 in Salt Lake City. She attended elementary schools in Oakley, Idaho and Salt Lake City, then Lincoln Jr. High and graduated from South High School.
She served in the Central Atlantic States Mission of the LDS Church in 1962-63. She worked at various offices but retired as a secretary from the Utah State Visually Impaired Center.
Upon the death of her mother, Marilyn assumed the self-appointed role of Grandma to Luella's twenty grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her, many referring to her as an angel.
Throughout her life, she loved to travel with her parents and brothers. She visited much of the United States, including the Alcan Highway of Alaska, as well as an Alaskan Cruise, and Hawaii twice, once by flight and once by cruise ship, in addition to Europe, Israel, through the Panama Canal, and Central America. She is survived by one brother, Alden Andrew.
A viewing will take place at the Highland 20th Ward located at 6411 W. 11800 N. in Highland, Utah at 9:30am on Saturday, February 19, 2011, with the funeral service following at 11:00am. Interment will be at the Wasatch Lawns Cemetery in Salt Lake City.
