Marissa Critchfield

After a courageous battle with Cerebral Palsy, our little angle sweetie, Marissa Critchfield returned home to the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 28, 2007. She was surrounded by and in the arms of her family. Marissa was born Jan 27, 1998 in Provo, Utah to Randy and Jamie Critchfield. Although she had many physical limitations, she brought so much joy and happiness to all who came in contact with her. She had such a happy smile and contagious laugh and was always cheerful, even through the difficult times. She was born with a tiny, fragile body, but her spirit was strong and vibrant. Marissa attended elementary school in Goshen and Santaquin where she enjoyed many friendships. She was a joy to care for and will leave a huge void in our hearts. She is survived by her parents, Randy and Jamie Critchfield, her siblings; Zackary, Katie, Samuel, Molly, and Benjamin Critchfield all of Elberta, Utah. She is also survived by her grandparents Allan and Mary Stubbs of West Mountain, Utah and Ross and Berneil Critchfield of Salem, Utah Also lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Dora Ferran, who loved her so much. Our family would like to thank all of the many, many wonderful health care professionals, teachers and others who helped Marissa along the way. Thank you especially to Joyce Nelson, her personal school aid, who was with her for all of her years at school. She made it possible for Marissa to go to school and she took care of her and loved her so much. Also thanks to the IHC Hospice team, especially to Colleen Vreeland, who went above and beyond her duty as a nurse and loved Marissa and her family. Funeral services will be held at the Elberta Ward Chapel on Tuesday, October 30, 2007. at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held one hour prior. A viewing will also be held Monday evening October 29, from 6-8 p.m. at the Elberta Ward Chapel. Interment in Santaquin City Cemetery. Marissa, sweetie we will miss you and appreciate the example you set for us. We will love you forever, for always, no matter what..
