Mark Roger Henderson June 8th, 1952 to July 16th 2007 Age 55 "And now they shall live happily ever after"

Mark R. Henderson age 55 after a long and valiant struggle with progressive MS and returning cancer, surrounded by family members who loved him, left this mortal existence and passed through the veil on July 16th 2007 to be reunited with his eternal companion and the love of his life Janine P. Henderson who preceded him in death on February 4th 2007, just 5 months ago. Mark and Janine began there eternal marriage together 30 years ago, they were married in the Oakland California Temple on February 19th, 1977. Mark was born in Salt Lake City on June 8th 1952. Son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend, we were all blessed and to have Mark in our lives and be touched by his spirit. Mark is an Eagle Scout. He served two years in the England South West Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from Ricks College and then attended Brigham Young University. Mark worked in California for 26 years for Impact Photographics as the Western Regional Sales Manager. Mark was a Commercial Landscape Photographer in the National Parks and Monuments there. Many of his photographs have been published and are currently being sold in the Parks and Monuments as souvenirs today. Mark has a very strong work ethic and was known for his good ideas, new products, great photographs and organizational skills. He was always doing what was expected and then more. Never giving up and always accomplishing his goals. Mark was a very loving devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend showing love and giving service to others, never failing to show his gratitude and be thankful, recognizing time and again what others had accomplished and done for and with him. Mark has a wonderful sense of humor and he a close relationship with his Heavenly Father, his wife and children. He was a take charge kind of guy. Mark faithfully served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including: The Bishopric, Ward Membership Clerk, Ward Clerk, Ward Executive Secretary and Young Men's President to name a few. Mark and Janine retired in 2004 and moved their family to American Fork, Utah. Mark and Janine are survived by their four children: Courtney, Nathan, Jacob & Kellie as well as many extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 21st . The viewing will begin at 12 noon with the service to follow at 1 PM, In the "A Frame Chapel" of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 835 N. 900 E. American Fork, Utah, across from the Timpanogos Temple. His grave will be dedicated by his son Nathan following the service, at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mark would like to express his gratitude and appreciation to all his family and friends especially those who cared for him and his children during his final days and in his time of need.
