Marlin DelTurco Sorenson, 48 of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on June 24, 1961 in Vallejo, California to Sharen Lundeberg and Frank Peter DelTurco. In 1976 she moved to Salt Lake City with her family. Marlin was a loving mother who adored her children, and was a loving aunt. She had a gift for taking care of infants and always was the first to offer help with taking care of a child. She loved to be the center of attention, telling jokes and laughed often. Marlin was fun to be around and always did things her own way! She loved to crochet, art painting and going to the mountains. She had achieved her certificate in Phlebotomy and loved to serve others. Marlin is survived by her children, Corinne (Danny), Erika, and Benton; step-children, Brittany, and Chuck; mother, Sharen Lundeberg; sisters, Kim (Gary), and Lisa (Robn); numerous Nieces and Nephews; aunts, Marlin, and Teet; and uncles and cousins who love her very much. She is also survived by her loving friend Scott Hacker and her dog, Cowboy. Her father Frank DelTurco preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 Brookshire LDS Church, at 1325 West 5550 South, Taylorsville, UT, viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow the services at the Riverton City Cemetery, Riverton, UT. We will miss Marlin very much and are very sad to see her go so soon. We know she is with family who love her and are taking care of her. Our family wants to thank the CNS Hospice (Jana, Tracia, and Lori) for there loving care of Marlin.
