Marva Bell Fitts

Marva Bell Fitts Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend Marva Bell Fitts passed away peacefully Friday, August 3rd at her home in the presence of her family, after a courageous six year battle with cerebellum atrophy. Born September 21st, 1935 in Price, Utah to Fannie Mahala Bell and Jack Smith. Marva married Robert O. Fitts May 13th, 1962 in Elko, Nevada later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Preceded in death by her mother Mahala. Marva was an active and devoted member of the LDS Church; she dedicated 9 years of her life as a VA volunteer; she had a love for family, cooking and traveling. Her favorite get-away was Cannon Beach, Oregon with always a visit to Doogers Restaurant for Halibut fish and chips; her day was never complete without a chocolate treat. Her tenacious spirit held strong through her many medical struggles; she always had a smile on her face, kept her sense of humor and never complained or asked "why me"? Marva was full of unconditional love for her family and all those she encountered. She made us stronger with her will to live and fight and her courage to let go. She brightened our lives and touched our spirits for eternity. Survived by her husband Robert O. Fitts; daughters: Brenda, Lori, Judy, Roni (Gordon), Cori(Mike) and Shelly(Mike) and 11 grandchildren. The family would like to thank Summit Hospice and her loving caregivers, Tiffani, Karen, Jill, and Beverly. Viewing to be held from 6:00 - 8:00pm on Friday, August 10th at the Bonneville Stake Center, 1535 East Bonneview Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah. Services to be held Saturday August 11, 2007 at 1:00pm, with 12:00pm Viewing. Interment at Mtn. View Cemetery.
