Marvin Elmer Phillips

Marvin Elmer Phillips was born December 1, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Willis H. Phillips and Alice Sorenson Phillips.
He attended Granite High School and enjoyed gardening and traveling. He especially liked traveling with his wife Peggy, whom he married on August 11, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Together they raised four children, Denis, Roger, Terry and Patricia. Later, came 6 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Throughout Marvin's life, he worked hard at trades he loved: paperhanging and painting. Marvin loved life so much that he lived to enjoy his 100th birthday on December 1, 2011.
Marvin is preceded in death by his lovely wife Madeline (Peggy) Burke Phillips and his son Terry.
The graveside service will be held at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, located at 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT, on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00 am.
