Maurice Robert Kogan "Bob" St.George, UT -Bob Kogan - 69, passed away August 16, 2011, in St. George, UT, after an extended illness. He was born December 29, 1941, in Chicago, IL to Morry Kogan and Rita Kogan Bonella. He married Annette Stubbs, January 9, 1971, in Newport Beach, CA. They were later sealed in the St.George Temple on March 28, 1982.
Bob spent his early years in Chicago and later moved to Buena Park, CA. He joined the US Army Serving in Vietnam. While in the Army he enjoyed seeing different parts of the world and experiencing new cultures and food. Bob joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1981.
Bob was a 3rd generation salesman which led him to start his own business. Because of his out-of-the-box selling style he became known as "Crazy Bob". He loved his store and the many customers and community members that knew him. He started Crazy Bob's in 1984 and was lucky to have his 2 sons take over when illness forced him to retire.
Bob enjoyed tennis, fishing, live music, beautiful flowers, and was also an avid gamer. He loved vacationing and spending time with his wife and family at the beach.
Thank you to all the family, friends, neighbors, and medical personnel who have given much service and kindness. He was one of a kind and will be missed. Dad, we are so glad you are finally free from all your pain.
Bob is survived by: his wife, Annette; children Ryan Kogan, Danny (Lisa) Kogan of St.George, and Nicole (Phil) Brenchley of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren McKell, Austin, Alyssa, Nathan, Taylor, and Zachary. He was preceded in death by: his parents, son Michael, daughter Angela, and grandson Andrew.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 20, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington Stake Center, 200 W. Brigham Rd., St.George, UT. Visitations will be held Friday August 19, 2011, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services, both at the Bloomington Stake Center. Interment will follow the funeral at 2:30 p.m. at the Parowan City Cemetery.
