Maxine Lott McCleary/Andreason. Our dearest Mother, Maxine McCleary passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 5, 2010. During her last few months she remained sweet, delightful and always ready with a quick satirical and humorous comment on whatever subject was at hand. We spent many hours talking about family history and friends. In those moments we would banter and joyfully trade barbs and remember things with our views as we recalled them. Maxine was born in Salt Lake on September 21, 1923 to Orson Roscoe (Ross) Lott and Francis Warwood Lott. Her family included her sister's Pearl Paul, Velma Kalinec, brothers Ross Lott (Jr.) and Dale Lott. Son's Larry McCleary and Scott McCleary, grandchildren Kelly Ann, Matt and Ashley, great-grandchildren LexieMae, Logan and LillyMarie and many nieces and nephews, and their families. She wishes to extend her thanks to all of them and her friends who were special to her. Her life was devoted to these relationships and keeping the family close and enjoying each others company. Her involvement and activities with the AARP and Teamster's Union provided her much pleasure, many memories and friends that she desires to pay thanks too. Puttering around in her garden and being in nature were also among some of her preferred pastimes. Maxine married Don McCleary/Andreason on June 5, 1942 in Salt Lake City. I am assuming she choose this same day to leave us so that she could celebrate her anniversary once again with her loving husband Don. A special note of thanks goes out to the people of Superior Home Care & Hospice and the many hours they served seeing to her peace and serenity to the end. Carol Elmer's love and efforts for her and our family cannot be re-paid. Here is a message of honor to all of those who go out unto that good night with grace, humor, and acceptance of a life well lived and thoroughly enjoyed. "Won't you help me sing my song... from the dark end of the street... To the Bright side of the Road" (Van Morrison). Graveside Memorial Services will occur at Memorial Estates 6500 South Redwood Road on Monday June 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM. You may send online condolences to mccleary9@msn.com
