Michael Dennis Flavin

Michael Dennis Flavin, 63, passed away April 3, 2007 from complications due to cancer. Michael was born December 4, 1943 to Eleanor Mae Nelson and Patrick J. Flavin in Chicago, Illinois. Living in Chicago did not define Michael, he defined Chicago. He brought this spirit with him to Salt Lake City, Utah. Michael was a wealthy man in family and friends. Everyone that had the chance to meet him loved his Irish gift of the blarney, his quick wit, his charm and smiling eyes.
He is survived by his true love: Janice Ann, his children: Kelly (Tom) Gallo, Christy (Eric) Lange, Amy Flavin (fiancé© Joe Dittman), Michael ( Jordana) Flavin, Daniel Joseph Flavin, his brother Patrick Flavin, many nieces, nephews and his grandchildren: Madeline, Kennedy, Payton, Joseph and Meredith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his Aunt Mary, and grandchildren Jameson and Jana.
A viewing will be held on Monday evening, April 9, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 3015 East Creek Road, Sandy Utah 84093.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10,2007 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Flowers may be sent to Serenicare Funeral Home 12278 South Lone Peak Parkway #103 Draper, Utah 84020 (801-255-2801). In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society and St. Thomas More Catholic Church are suggested in Michael's memory.
