Nathan E "Pete" Holden; 67, of Malad, Idaho and formerly of Tremonton, Utah died December 3, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah after succumbing to cancer. Pete was born October 2, 1942 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the son of N. W. Big Pete & Frieda Holden. He graduated from High School in West Virginia before enlisting in the Navy. He served in the Navy for four years. On July 20th, 2009, Pete married Janet Nielson in Tremonton, Utah. Pete worked 20 years for Thiokol and then Autoliv for 10 years before retiring. Since retirement, Pete and Janet have served as camp hosts in Idaho. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting with friends. He is survived by his wife Janet Holden of Malad, Idaho, a step-son, Cole (Julie) Jones of Perry, Utah. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild. His parents; N.W. and Frieda Holden of St. Clairsville, OH, a sister; Paula Lusk of St. Clairsville, OH and two brothers; Jimmy Holden of Wheeling, WV and Charley (Laura) Holden of Hunker, PA. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Elwood LDS Chapel in Elwood, Idaho. The family will meet with friends at the Church form 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. prior to services. Janet wished to share her appreciation to the Veterans Hospital Staff and Love Hospice for their special loving care of Pete.
