Nellie Reier

Nellie Elizabeth (Bette) Reier, 87, passed away peacefully in Draper, Utah, on Friday, February 12, 2010, surrounded by members of her family. Bette was born on January 20, 1923, in Towson, Maryland, daughter of Harold W. Hinds and Marjorie Newton Hinds. She married Gordon Roger Reier, Sr. on October 2, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Gordon had been commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Marine Corp on September 16, 1943. Bette thoroughly enjoyed the life of an Officer's wife until his retirement in 1961. Bette is survived by her four children, Roger (Janice), Martha (John Grill), Susan and Robert (Melinda), ten grand children and sixteen great-grand children. Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, who passed away in 2008. Memorial service to be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at 11AM, at the Utah Veterans Memorial Chapel at 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
