Nicolaas Christian Cyrille Unlandt

Nicolaas C. C. Unlandt, beloved son, fiancé©, brother, nephew and friend passed away February 5, 2009 surrounded by those who loved him. Born October 2, 1981 in the Netherlands, he came with his family to the United States in July, 1990.
Both professionally and as a pastime Nick enjoyed cooking for others. He loved the outdoors, mountains, the ocean, beautiful sunsets, animals, hiking, camping and fishing. He also loved music. He used to call his car his Baby Number Two, but his true love was his fiancé©e Britanny Hurdle, to whom he got engaged Christmas Eve, 2008, planning to be married July 4, 2009. He was very passionate about children and looking forward to being a husband and hoped to become a father.
All those who knew Nick experienced his loving kindness and generosity towards others. Even after passing, Nick continued to serve others by donating his organs to save multiple lives while having lost his own. The physical pains he endured the last two years of his life have now changed to peace and comfort.
The family expresses thanks the staff of the Intensive Care Units at UVRMC and UVSH for their efforts to care for him.
