Norma Joyce (Moseley) Cooper passed away December 8, 2008 in Clearfield, Utah. She was the first of fifteen children. Norma was born to Orvel and Jewel Moseley on February 7, 1931 in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Norma had one son, Lenard Bruce Rose, Jr. (deceased) and four daughters, Joyce Williams - Kremer (Dennis) Hooper, Ut., L. Tracy Erickson, Annapolis, Md., Holly Baker, N. Ogden, Ut., Diane Hadley (Douglas), West Jordan, Ut. The fourteen siblings she helped to raise and nurture - Robbie Moseley (deceased) Evelyn Kirk (deceased) Dorothy Biggers (deceased), Eddie Moseley, David Moseley, Linda Martinez, Patrick Moseley, Lizabeth Moseley, Phillip Moseley, Paula Beddingfield, Stephen Moseley, Michael Moseley, Shannon Moseley and Gary Moseley all of California. Norma was a succesful business woman, homemaker, mother and wife but her greatest joy was her five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her high school Alma Mater was Eldorado High in Placerville, California. She enjoyed reading and helped her girls to read before they were school age.
Although she was a successful partner in an auto reclamation business Norma was reknowned for her cooking ability and served as head chef in several restuarants and country clubs. She brought her skills for business management and culinary acumen to a position she loved as Administrator for an assisted living center in Placerville, California.
When Norma retired she moved to Utah to spend her time with her family. She had many friends whom she valued. Norma never missed an opportunity to try and lighten other peoples spirits. She was a warrior when she felt her friends or family were slighted. She would not hesitate to come to the aid or defense of a friend in need often without their knowing.
Norma will be missed for her wit and charm. Her sense of humor was something that we will continue to laugh about for years to come. To share in the love and laughter that celebrates Norma's life an open house will be held this Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 12 to 4 pm at the home of her granddaughter, Nikki and husband Spencer Hodges, 5314 S. 5950 W. Hooper, Ut. 84315
