On May 6, 2007 at 11:14 a.m. Orin Daniels Daley, while surrounded by loved ones, peacefully returned to his heavenly home and family. He was born December 31, 1928 in Eagle, Colorado to Jesse Jean Daley and Harriett Daniels. He graduated from Payson High School in 1947 where he lettered in every sport he participated in. He served an honorable mission to the Eastern Canadian Mission. As a heavy equipment operator he worked on almost every highway and dam in Utah. He married and was sealed to Margaret Cope on October 9, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. Orin, an active member of the LDS Church, faithfully served in numerous callings throughout his life.
He is survived by his eternal sweetheart of over 55 years Margaret and their 11 children: Michael (Debra); Kathleen (Remon) Campbell; Daniel (Tana); Loreen (Jeffrey) Williams; Cheryl (Dee) Orr; Gordon (Eileen); Arthur (Cecile); Margaret "Margie" (Lori); Jeniel (Brent) Kimball; Angela (Kerry) Acocks; and Aaron (Lesley); 40 grandchildren (one on the way) and 22 great grandchildren (four on the way). As one of nine children he is survived by his sisters Jessie White and Madeline Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leroy, Art, Leo, Tom, Dave; sister Eva Estes and four of his grandchildren.
The family offers many special thanks to friends, neighbors, Ward and Stake family members and Bishop Gary Ferry. A very special thank you to Dr. Tan Duy Tran for his kindness and loving concern and to the Harmony Hospice staff.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeridge 2nd Ward, 2875 South 8000 West, Magna, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, May 10, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ward house and from 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment to take place in the Payson City Cemetery.
