Oscar Carver passed away peacefully on April 3. He was born October 18, 1926 to Jesse and Gertrude Carver in Broken Arrow Oklahoma. He was married to Laurel Lorraine Jacobsen in Long Beach California in 1950. He is survived by his wife and four children, Michael Lee Carver, Kathleen D.Walser, Susan Lisa Hubbart, and John Adam Carver. He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Lynne Carver Plesko. Oscar is the grandfather of sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Oscar served in the military, in both the Air force, and the Navy. Oscar was a surveyor for Shell Oil Company for fourteen years. Then he changed careers by going back to school and becoming a Systems Analyst in the emerging computer field. He loved the outdoors. One of his favorite things to do was fishing. He always tried his hand at new things and developed many skills. He enjoyed reading and watching movies. His children will always remember his example of honesty and integrity. He worked hard to provide a living for his family. He became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints shortly before his marriage and has served in various church callings. His funeral will be on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2801 West 620 North, in Provo Utah at 10:00 AM. Prior to the funeral there will be a viewing from 9:00 to 9:45 AM. Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery. Please share condolences at www.serenicare.com
