Our beloved Patricia Ann Campbell passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on July 7, 2012 in Provo, Utah at the age of 70. Pat was born on November 18, 1941 in Blythe, California to Henry and Elsie Jones. She was the oldest of four children.
Pat graduated from high school in Ione, California in 1960 where she met her husband of 51 years. They were married on December 24, 1960 and were later sealed in the Los Angeles LDS temple. They had six children who enjoyed her culinary creativity such as fruit cocktail on toast and spaghetti delight. While enjoying the simple things in life, Pat most enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She was an active member of the LDS church who enjoyed serving in various scouting programs. Pat always loved serving others and seeing the good in those around her. Her service to others was demonstrated throughout her life and career.
Pat's desire to help others influenced her decision to return to school in her mid-40s. Pat attended Brigham Young University and received her Master's Degree in Social Work, while assisting her husband to obtain his. She worked in the Hope Unit at the Utah State Hospital and at Wasatch Mental Health until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Ned Nelson Campbell and children Ned Campbell (Miriam), Angela Hansen (Richard), Kristiina Slavens (Monte), Troy Campbell, and Tanya Farr (Lance), 3 sisters, 23 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Campbell, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Springville West Stake Center located at 996 W Center St, Springville. A viewing will be held in advance starting at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flower, donations can be made in Pat's name to Wasatch House.
