Paul was born October 18, 1925 to Paul and Louise Prison in Dudweiler, Germany. He immigrated to the United States in 1951. Paul met his wife Isa at a Church choir fell in love and they were married on September 17, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. Paul and Isa loved to visit National Parks together with their children. Paul loved to sing, and he knew countless witty German quotes that he would recite every time someone talked to him. Paul loved to run rivers and loved to share this passion with his family and friends, his favorite being Lodore Canyon. His last river trip was last summer at the age of 89.
Paul is survived by four children, Ivy (Marty) Peterson, Homer (Janet) Prison, Dinah Webb, and David Prison, his brother Horst Prison, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Isa and son Kenneth.
The funeral will be held Wednesday March 16, 12 noon at the Richmond First Ward, 135 West Main Street, Richmond, Utah 84333, a viewing will be held one hour prior to services. A Graveside service will be held Thursday 11:00 am at the Salt Lake City Cemetery
