Paule Jacqueline Mourik Marie

Marie-Paule Jacqueline Mourik 1945 ~ 2008 Marie-Paule Jacqueline Mourik, loving wife, mother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home Sunday, March 16th, 2008. She has rejoined her father and two of her children: Tamara and Alma.Marie-Paule is the daughter of Papa-Jacques Jansen (deceased) and Mama-Lucie Marshall Jansen. She is the wife of Peter Mourik, and mother of Alma, Gabriel, Nephi, Jacqueline, Sariah, Nathan, Myriam, Tamara and Poppy. She is the grandmother of 24 grandchildren with more on the way.

She was born in Brussells Belgium on November 3, 1945. She met her husband, Peter on a building mission in Brussells. They lived in Scotland, Belgium and England, raised their children in Germany, served a mission in South Africa and moved to the United States in 1993. Marie-Paule was a saintly cultural woman who cared for all she knew. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved music, painting, healthy cooking, studying languages, playing games with her loved ones and teaching piano. Her love for music inspired her to become an accomplished organist who touched peoples' lives by playing in churches all over the world. She continued to show her love and selflessness into her final hours of life. She will be greatly missed.

Her family would like to invite all who knew her to a memorial service on Saturday, March 29th, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints old stake center at 4295 North Canyon Road in Provo. At the same location, a viewing will be held Friday March 28th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
