Richard Clay Branham, age 30, died July 21, 2010, in the Kiabab National Forest. His body was found December 11, 2010. Clay was born November 9, 1979, in Cedar City, UT, to Paul and Colleen Bowler Branham.
Clay graduated from Enterprise High School and later from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor's degree in agriculture. He loved spending time in the outdoors, riding four-wheelers, and hunting. He especially loved to hunt coyotes and to spend time with his friends in Hamblin Valley. Clay spent many seasons working for Canyon Trail Rides in Bryce Canyon, The Grand Canyon, and Zion National Park. Clay had many great friends and was a loyal friend to many.
He is survived by: his parents, Paul (Ronnie) Branham of Ely, NV, and Colleen Bowler (Mike) Cannon of St. George, UT; sisters, Cola (Mike) Kelley of St. George, UT, Kerri (Dave) Wright, of Garrison, UT; grandpa, Dean Branham of Glade Park, CO; nieces and nephews, Coby Eyre, Kylee Eyre, Kelbi Eyre, Carson Wright, Burklie Wright; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to those who have participated in the five month search for Clay. The many phone calls, prayers, and support are all dearly appreciated. Clay's family and friends loved him very much and will miss him enormously.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at the Veyo City Cemetery in Veyo, UT. Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the Veyo LDS Chapel to share memories, laugh, and celebrate Clay's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any Wells Fargo Bank under the Finding Clay Branham Donation account.
