On Friday, April 28, 2006 our father R. G. Lloyd Drummond lost his battle with cancer. Dad was born on November 13, 1928 to Lloyd Ellsworth and Thelma Watkins Drummond in Ogden, Utah. He attended schools in Springville. He married Ferl Miller in 1949 and they later divorced. He then married Deanna Peay in 1966 and they later divorced also. Dad spent a majority of his life working as a heavy equipment engineer doing road construction but he also spent time working for Orem City, doing concrete work, selling solar heating systems and a variety of other odd jobs through the years. Dad always enjoyed the outdoors and spent the last 15 years of his life living part of the year in Bluff, Utah and the other part in Mexico along the beach. He also enjoyed fishing on the beach in Mexico or the local lakes with his grandkids. Dad was handy with his hands and was always looking for things to fix-up. He was definitely his own person and wasn't afraid to let you know what he thought but he had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He is survived by his children Randy (Kathy) Drummond, James (Lois) Rigtrup, Kathleen (Kevin) Gordon, and Richard (Kristin) Drummond, 21 grandchildren, 6 great-grand children, and 2 brothers Darl Dale (Marion) Drummond and Gary (Janet) Hatfield. He was proceeded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Rigtrup. A viewing is scheduled for 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Payson 3rd/5th Ward Building located at 586 W. 1750 S. There will be a graveside service following the viewing at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery at 1997 S. 400 E. Arrangement are being handled by SereniCare Funeral Directors. The family would like to express appreciation to Alpine Home Health Care for their wonderful hospice care and support.
