Ralph E. Behrens - age 84, passed away on June 2, 2010, at his home in Cedar City, UT. Ralph was born in Wichita, Kansas on Feb. 12, 1926, to Julius and Marie Wuensch Behrens. He and his family moved to California when he was a few months old. He was raised in a gold mining camp during the depression. When WWII broke out he joined the Army Air Corps where he was a gunner on a B29. He was stationed in Saipan. After the war he got a degree in chemistry from St. Mary's college. Ralph married Patricia D. Bennett on March 18, 1967, in Glendale, California. Ralph worked as a chemist most of his life, retiring from WECCO a number of years ago.
Ralph is survived by: his wife, Patt; his son, Robert (Brenda) of Layton, Utah; and his grandchildren, Nichelle Marie and William Von. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Charles and Gene.
A memorial service will be held, June 26, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church, 2279 Wedgewood Lane, in the Fiddlers Canyon area of Cedar City, UT.
