Ray was born February 4, 1937 in Rensselaer, IN. He passed away in his home August 14, 2010. For 10 years, Ray was well known for his welding shop as well as a volunteer fireman in Lowell, IN. In 1972 he moved his family to Las Vegas, where he built a career in construction as a sheet metal worker. After retiring in 1999, Ray and Pat moved to their home in Duck Creek Village, Utah. Ray became an active board member of Cedar Mountain Fire Department where he was again a volunteer fireman and involved with Kane County Sheriff's Office search and rescue. Ray loved the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, horseback riding and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Preceded in death by his parents Aloys and Myrtle Kohley. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Pat, three brothers Edward, Harold and his twin Charles, along with six children: Kevin (Debbie) Kohley, Brian (Lisa) Kohley, Mindy (Dave) Williams, Missy (Ronnie) Cosse, Jenny (Roger) Levin, Cari (Ron) Hernandez, 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 130 N Pecos Rd., Henderson, NV 89074 Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. A service will be held in Strawberry Valley, UT at the community center, Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
