Reino Kalevi Heikkinen

Reino Kalevi Heikkinen passed away peacefully June 19, 2008 at the age of 76 surrounded by family in his Sandy home. He was born October 24, 1931 in Nilsia, Finland. He migrated to America in 1954 and worked as a carpenter in Long Island, NY. Moved to Utah in 2000 and became a U.S. citizen in April 2005.
Reino enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He was interested in stargazing, bird watching, and cooking.
Reino is survived his brothers: Wayne, Vilho, and Eriki; his sister,Vieno; 8 nieces and 4 nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, his friend Helmi, and his sister Miriam.
Thanks to all of the people at hospice who assisted Reino throughout his illness and to DSS Rodney Burnside, his caregiver and friend, for his kindness and compassion in making Reino's last days comfortable.
