Renee Julian Cherrington, age 62, from American Fork, Utah, passed away on October 13, 2011. She passed away in the American Fork Hospital surrounded by her family after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Renee was born on January 6, 1949, in American Fork, Utah, to Ralph and Lillian Julian. She was the youngest of three children. Renee attended all of her schooling in American Fork and graduated from American Fork High School. She married Dean Cherrington on July 16, 1968. In 1989 they were sealed as a family in the Provo LDS Temple. Renee was an active member of the LDS Church. She had numerous jobs, but the one she loved the most was being a home maker. Renee loved fishing and camping, but most of all spending time with her family. Renee is survived by her husband, Dean; their two family cats, Puddy and Nellie; her two daughters, Kimberly (Scott) Hicken of American Fork and Stacie (Sam) Nelson of American Fork; her brother, Max (Nancy) Julian of Casper, Wyoming; her sister, Kay (Neldon) Madsen of American Fork; four grandchildren, Kayla, Samantha, Jordan, and Sierra. She is preceded in death by her parents and best friend, Karen Hone. Special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at the American Fork Hospital and Orchard Rehab Center. Services will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 688 West 500 North, American Fork, Utah, with the viewing at 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. and the funeral starting at 11:00 a.m. Under the direction of SereniCare of Draper, Utah. Burial in the Lehi City Cemetery. A savings account has been set up at Zion's Bank under Dean Cherrington to help with funeral and medical expenses. Strong, amazing, and brave. She will be missed.
