Rhea Hatfield Syversen, 89, our loving and beautiful mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully May 24, 2012. She was born November 8, 1922 in Mapleton, Utah to Douglas Edward Hatfield and Susan Dorothea Christensen Hatfield. She graduated from Lincoln High school. She married Gunnar "Tommy" Syversen on September 3, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing and most of all, time with her family. She is survived by her two daughters; Debra Ridd of Beaverton, Oregon and SuZann Cox of Sandy, Utah, and eight grandchildren; Ryan, Jeremy, Zach and Cody Ridd, Jared, Adam, Nick and Madison Cox... along with many other loved family members. Preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, 2 sisters, 1 brother and son-in-law Ken Ridd. Funeral Services will be held at the Sandy 13th Ward, located at 586 E. 8400 S. Sandy, Utah on Friday June 1st, 2012 at noon, with a viewing 1 hour prior. A viewing will also be held Thursday, May 31st from 6-8pm at the same location.
