Rhonda Monsen LaRocco

Rhonda Monsen LaRocco 1955-2024 beloved mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister and dear friend passed away on October 12th, 2024 at the age of 69. Rhonda was born to Ron and LaRaine Monsen in Murray, Utah, August 26,1955. She was blessed to grow up with 3 brothers and 1 sister, Lee Monsen (Cynthia), Elaine Fenton (Kirk), Darin Monsen, and Chad Monsen (Becky). She grew up in Midvale, Utah graduating from Hillcrest High School in 1973. 

She loved being an auntie to many nieces and nephews. Rhonda was a friend to all children and loved sneaking candy to them. Reunions at Lava Hot Springs you’d find her joining the kids for a dip in the pool. Her greatest joy came June 29, 1976 when she gave birth to her son Bryan Elliott. She loved being a mom and spending time with her son. Bryan married Kelly, and Rhonda had her first granddaughter in 2000, Lillian. Soon followed by her second granddaughter Laken in 2003. Her heart was full. She gave the girls nicknames, Lillian was sunshine and Laken moonbeam! They loved sleepovers and camping trips with grandma! She was very supportive of the girl’s and loved watching them succeed. She coached Lillian's basketball team and attending many of Laken’s softball games. 

In 2001 Rhonda met the love of her life Sam Morgan where she gained two bonus kids Rachael and Dan. Sam and Rhonda enjoyed karaoke, raising their dogs and camping. She was an animal lover, her beloved dogs Jaycee and Cody had two litters of puppies that she adored. She was very talented at making ceramics which won her awards at the Utah State Fair. In the summer you’d find Rhonda in her garden planting beautiful flowers. Rhonda was a loyal friend and will be missed by so many.
