Ricarda M. Christensen

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 30, 2011 with her family by her side. She was born February 7, 1936. We all loved her dearly and she will always be remembered in all our hearts. She is watching over all of us with love. She loved to travel all over the world with her husband and enjoyed visiting many different countries and their diverse cultures. She also loved arts, plays, music and the ballet. She had a great sense of humor and loved new adventures. She loved to read and was very creative with her sewing she was also an excellent cook and always had something delicious cooking. Ricarda is survived by her loving and devoted husband, David of 54 years, her children and their spouses, her 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and great-great grandchild; she loved spending time with them. Children: Chris Christensen (Cynthia), Pete Christensen (Mary), Delbert Christensen (Sheila), Lisa Metcalf, Jessica Christensen, Scott Christensen. Grandchildren: Brandy Moss (Daniel), Karen Pena, Nick Christensen, Adam Christensen (Angie), Annette Nielsen (Brian), Jason Nielsen (Johanna), John Metcalf, Jacques Metcalf, Jake Metcalf, Eric Christensen (Kristen), Myles Christensen, and Logan Christensen. Ricarda was Preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Shelly Ann Nielsen-Christensen. The family will be holding a private memorial November 3, 2011.
